Talia Burnett


Talia is an expert in immigration law, having worked in the field of immigration since 2010.  She has experience in all fields of immigration law, including transactional employment-based immigration, nonimmigrant visas, labor certifications and removal defense.  Her primary passion involves keeping families united, which is why she specializes in family-based immigration matters, DACA and U-Visas.  Talia believes that preparation is critical to providing exemplary advocacy for each client.  She is meticulous in her presentation of cases, whether in trial before Immigration Judges, or in the process of obtaining permanent residency and citizenship before the US Citizenship and Immigration Service. Talia enjoys backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains, hunting, skiing, rock climbing, river rafting and hot yoga, as well as spending time with her Pug, MoSalah and French Bulldog, Uschi.

Educational Background

Talia graduated Cum Laude from California States University, Long Beach with a degree in Philosophy; receiving additional Honors in Ethics. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Chapman University School of Law where she studied immigration law and asylum and refugee law. Talia was the Vice President of the 2ndAmendment Association, and Vice President of the Federalist Society.

Awards

Talia was recognized by the Mexican Consulate of Boise for her participation in the Consulate’s Know Your Rights Workshop and Labor Week. She has spoken at numerous local school districts during Parent-Teacher nights and conferences. Talia has presented for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and has provided instruction for fellow immigration attorneys through the AILA Idaho State Conference.
